Angela and Chris were married at the beautiful Sherman Library and Gardens in Corona Del Mar. The sunset was shortly after the ceremony, so Angela and Chris did a first look to take advantage of all the photo ops in the gardens, also enabling us to shoot the key family photos before the ceremony, which makes the day less rushed. You take months and months of planning your wedding, why would you want to cram all your photos in to 45 […]
Newport Beach based Fine Jewelry company Twila True was in the studio for us to photograph their beautiful line of fine jewelry. Betsey was on full alert as studio security. It was great having the team for the shoot. Shot with the Canon 5dsr, and those 50 mg files are nice! Some behind the Scenes video of the shoot provided by Kip Roof. Moving from the studio to the second location, Irvine regional park, rich in green thanks to all the rain we have been getting here is Southern California, I brought along my Hasselblad film camera, 150 mm lens, and shot some ilford film.
“The kimonos were custom made for my mother, Stephanie. She used to perform Odori (Traditional Japanese dance), so she owned multiple kimonos. The one that Laura was wearing was the one my mom had worn to her farewell party in 1961. It hasn’t been worn since then.” It meant so much for us to have the opportunity to wear them again, especially after three generations! It was also our privilege to be photographed by you, Nicole!!! We specialize in ready to hang art for your home. Taking the guesswork out of where to print, spending the time looking for a frame, or having images stuck in electronic form.
This was on location in the clients home. For newborns we recommend shooting within the first two weeks. They sleep most of the time, and you are able to capture those sweet images of feet, hands. Temperature must be very warm, and they like to be swaddled.
Fun shoot with this family in the foothills of Pasadena at Conrad Buff’s Rapor House. Fun letting the kids be kids. Extra fun to wrap up the shoot getting wet in the pool, plus I got to use my favorite toy, the pro foto ring light. Photograph of Alissa and Chris at their wedding at Shade Hotel #clubgrossi
Lacy and Wil planned their ceremony and reception at the modern 7 degrees wedding venue located in Laguna Beach. They were smart and wanted to do a first look, so we could take advantage of all the cool photo backdrops that 7 degrees provides, the bamboo garden, the hallway, and the elevator staircase. The couple chose not to have a bridal party, and for their friends to come and enjoy the event with no obligations. White draped material adorned the ceremony site, […]
You are freakin’ amazing!!! Love how u are able to get everyone’s personality captured perfectly!!!! I was lucky enough to travel to Los Cabos, Mexico to shoot the destination Wedding of Kelli and Jimmy. They woke up before the sun for a trash the dress, and ended up a bus stop bench. When scouting the location for their recent family shoot in Northern California, I came across this bench, and had to recreate it with the kiddos.
Venture on the set with our wedding clients Alex and Liz, then follow us into the darkroom as we print archival traditional black and white negatives for a final fine art presentation. Inspired by Old Hollywood, rented some Mole Richardson lighting and photographed with Large Film Camera 4×5 & the new 55 film. Positive instant prints, and negative scans “Thanks@nicolecaldwellphoto for the amazing film. This photo shoot was super awesome, especially with those 📽💡 – Alex
