Cover Me Ponchos were in the studio and we photographed their new line of Multi purpose ponchos designed for breastfeeding, swaddle, car seat cover, and to wear. With 7 models, and four under the age of 3, it was quite a day. The distressed brick wall backdrop was a perfect fit, and our nice skylight provided a bright natural light look.

Color and Traditional Kimonos in the studio with designer Paulo and his team. Gorgeous detail. Each look took over 2 hours to create, from makeup and hair, to dressing the model. When discussing the initial shoot at the consultation at the studio, Paulo was immediately drawn to the 8 x 10 original Polaroids, so we shot one for each look. Each 8 x 10 shot is manual everything, focus can be challenging, and the model must not move when in […]
With a low tide, and clouds covering the sky, the weather could not have been more perfect for a maternity session at Crystal Cove Beach. I photographed Jen and Knut’s destination wedding in Santa Barbara, and was thrilled to get the call that their family was expanding. Jen wore a light blue flowy number from Jen’s Pirate Booty. If you have a pre -teen daughter with a boho style, check out Jen’s business Love and Sunflowers clothing. Jen and Knut on their wedding […]
In the Photo studio with this fun family to celebrate the newest addition, a baby girl! With a family full of boys, time for a pink theme. The boys wore their Dad’s bow ties. I wonder if they make that purple velour jacket in my size? The dad showed up in a bow tie, and slippers. It took some convincing with mom, but the slippers stayed! This image ended up as the wall portrait. It captured the spirit of the shoot […]
Twins in the studio! I have quite a few clients with twins, must be the water in the studio! Traveled to the US Grant Hotel in San Diego to photograph the AETNA team and head shots. We got lucky with a killer room and a combo of natural and photographing strobe light to shoot. This group wanted a non- stuffy, candid feel. With Kip Roof We did a standard group shot, then mixed it up for the team “Amazing Race” photo. Put the lights and bounced of the mirrors going for a more sports ad type of feel.
Angela and Chris were married at the beautiful Sherman Library and Gardens in Corona Del Mar. The sunset was shortly after the ceremony, so Angela and Chris did a first look to take advantage of all the photo ops in the gardens, also enabling us to shoot the key family photos before the ceremony, which makes the day less rushed. You take months and months of planning your wedding, why would you want to cram all your photos in to 45 […]
Newport Beach based Fine Jewelry company Twila True was in the studio for us to photograph their beautiful line of fine jewelry. Betsey was on full alert as studio security. It was great having the team for the shoot. Shot with the Canon 5dsr, and those 50 mg files are nice! Some behind the Scenes video of the shoot provided by Kip Roof. Moving from the studio to the second location, Irvine regional park, rich in green thanks to all the rain we have been getting here is Southern California, I brought along my Hasselblad film camera, 150 mm lens, and shot some ilford film.
“The kimonos were custom made for my mother, Stephanie. She used to perform Odori (Traditional Japanese dance), so she owned multiple kimonos. The one that Laura was wearing was the one my mom had worn to her farewell party in 1961. It hasn’t been worn since then.” It meant so much for us to have the opportunity to wear them again, especially after three generations! It was also our privilege to be photographed by you, Nicole!!! Thank you.-Judy […]

We specialize in ready to hang art for your home. Taking the guesswork out of where to print, spending the time looking for a frame, or having images stuck in electronic form.
This was on location in the clients home. For newborns we recommend shooting within the first two weeks. They sleep most of the time, and you are able to capture those sweet images of feet, hands. Temperature must be very warm, and they like to be swaddled.
