Color and Traditional Kimonos in the studio with designer Paulo and his team. Gorgeous detail. Each look took over 2 hours to create, from makeup and hair, to dressing the model. When discussing the initial shoot at the consultation at the studio, Paulo was immediately drawn to the 8 x 10 original Polaroids, so we shot one for each look. Each 8 x 10 shot is manual everything, focus can be challenging, and the model must not move when in position. Once exposed, the 8 x 10 film runs through a vintage Polaroid processor, which bursts the photographic chemistry, and Tada, the 8 x 10 photograph is born!
