“We were thinking of black and white dramatic pictures with high contrast, in the studio and around Orange circle. Coming back full circle from our engagement photos.” – Nat and Avo. My ideal shoot- studio and black and white.
The above image is Nat and Avo on their wedding day. Just seconds before we were having fun in the photo booth, I then asked them to show how they really felt ( as they were about 12 hours into the event at that point) and this is what they gave me. It hangs in our studio wall as one of my favorite wedding images ever taken.
This video reflects how we like to shoot our familes, and how fun a studio shoot can be! We like to let loose and have fun, let the kids be kids. It’s the shots in between the shots, that are the magic.

Classic maternity photographs set in a photo studio- my favorite. Towards the end of the shoot, GiGi ( never to be called Grandma) brought Little brother to be Cruz for some fun Mom and son photos. Lace Gown by Sew Trendy
Matt’s proposal to Rachel Featured in How They Asked by The Knot. Matt informed Rachel that his “Crazy Aunt” was coming into town and he wanted them to meet. Under the guise of dinner at a fancy place, Rachel dressed up. This spot is very special to them ( one of their first dates). He brought a bottle of wine and said he wanted to visit the spot before dinner to take the edge off before meeting Crazy Aunt!
Pamela and Alan LOVE animals- so much so- their dream is to open an animal sanctuary. They have three dogs and a cat- who could not come to the wedding- so we set up a shoot to include them in their wedding family photos.
