They were married in a theater in the round ceremony in the evening. We did a first look to take advantage of shooting with natural light in this historic venue. This was fantatsic, we were able to capture the romantics, the family portraits, and the bridal party, so after the wedding the couple were free to join the celebration at the cocktail hour ( which had a magnificent view of downtown).
The couple were engaged at LACMA in the Urban light ( in which I shot the surprise proposal on film!), so they recreated the scene and imported vintage lampposts which were surrounded by candles.

Classic maternity photographs set in a photo studio- my favorite. Towards the end of the shoot, GiGi ( never to be called Grandma) brought Little brother to be Cruz for some fun Mom and son photos. Lace Gown by Sew Trendy
Matt’s proposal to Rachel Featured in How They Asked by The Knot. Matt informed Rachel that his “Crazy Aunt” was coming into town and he wanted them to meet. Under the guise of dinner at a fancy place, Rachel dressed up. This spot is very special to them ( one of their first dates). He brought a bottle of wine and said he wanted to visit the spot before dinner to take the edge off before meeting Crazy Aunt!
Pamela and Alan LOVE animals- so much so- their dream is to open an animal sanctuary. They have three dogs and a cat- who could not come to the wedding- so we set up a shoot to include them in their wedding family photos.
