Before the rains came and we were still in the drought, We ventured out beyond CA to the Ghost Town of St. Thomas Nevada, at Sunrise. This town has been underwater for over 50 years after the Hoover Damn was built, and now it has emerged due drought conditions.
The town is located in the Lake Mead National Recreation area. The road it a bit bumpy, but the hike down to the ruins is fairly easy.

The Trail Loop is 2 1/2 miles and filled with structures and trees to photograph.
All the photographs were shot with my Hasselblad film camera, and I used two films. One of the films is the experimental washi paper. The texture you see was not applied in photohsop, it is the result of the scan of the paper negative- pretty cool stuff.This is the view from the parking area, you can see the hiking trail below.
