Some of my favorite most photogenic wedding venues in and around Laguna Beach.
1. Seven Degrees – Laguna Beach
Seven Degrees is located in Laguna Canyon, in between the Sawdust Art Festival and Pageant of the Masters- fitting- because it is an art gallery. This is for Artsy clients who love the beach air, but could forgo the sand bit.
The ceremony is rooftop with a beautiful view on the canyon, and a bamboo garden complete with waterfalls and steps to balconies. After the ceremony your guests are treated to a cocktail hour reception on the rooftop to enjoy the ocean air.
The reception space is a state of the art sight and sound presentation fantastic for a nightclub atmosphere. It is an art Gallery so the art on the walls become part of your reception decor.
Then there is the Sparkler Farewell- a fun way to end the evening
The Surf and Sand resort is right on the beach, after the ceremony it’s only a few steps to the sand. There are three ceremony options: Catalina Deck, Ocean Terrace and, of course the sand.
The Catalina deck
The Catalina Deck is the largest of the ceremony sites, it is private, as you book the rooms surrounding the deck. There is the option to have your cocktail hour on the deck as well, or outside the patio area surrounding the Pelican Ballroom.
The Ocean Terrace
The Ocean Terrace is a more intimate space for smaller wedding ceremonies. Right after the ceremony, you can walk down the stairs from the pool for your beach romantic shots.
You have the option to have your ceremony on the beach. Standing room only-chairs are not allowed. There is no elevator access directly to beach.
This is a GREAT option for Elopements.
There are 3 ballrooms and A private room adjacent to splashes for intimate groups.
This is the Largest of the rooms, and has a private deck with a peek a boo view of the ocean.
The Sand Castle is off to the side, has a patio with a fountain and room for a buffet and the bar- great intimate space.
Sand Dollar is on the main walkway, and is a bit larger than the Sand Castle.
Splashes is for very intimate groups.
The Montage Resort offers Ceremonies on the grass. This wedding had both outdoor ceremony and reception.
They offer a golf cart and the beach is steps away for Romantics
Overall view of the Outdoor reception
4. Pacific Edge
Pacific Edge hotel is for more intimate weddings, the ceremony is usually held on the beach and the reception on the deck, with cute bungalows!
There are fun hidden spaces for some great photo ops.
Formerly known as Tivoli Too- This event space is located in Laguna Canyon.
Located in the Art Affair this is an outdoor ceremony and reception venue.
Just Outside City Limits….
technically not in Laguna Beach but pretty darn close
Ceremonies overlooking the beach, the resort offers a golf cart to their couples to escort them to the sand.
This Wedding is on the main lawn, with reception on the golf course.
8. Five Crowns
Just North of Laguna Located in Corona Del Mar, this is an intimate outdoor/ indoor wedding venue.
The Ranch in Laguna Beach is located on the golf course, near Aliso Creek Beach, the beach is not visible but a quick golf cart ride.
Located just North of Laguna in Corona Del Mar, this has built in floral decor! It is surrounded by houses, so reception must end before 10 p.m.
If you have any questions about these venues, please let me know using the form below. I have photographed all over Southern California and would love to help.

Matt’s proposal to Rachel Featured in How They Asked by The Knot. Matt informed Rachel that his “Crazy Aunt” was coming into town and he wanted them to meet. Under the guise of dinner at a fancy place, Rachel dressed up. This spot is very special to them ( one of their first dates). He brought a bottle of wine and said he wanted to visit the spot before dinner to take the edge off before meeting Crazy Aunt!
