BORREGO SPRINGS, CA…  Because trecking out in records breaking heat to the desert is a smart idea to photograph the Milky Way.  With only 5 percent moon illumination, 10:17- 4:06 milky way visibility and arch- yes, yes it is.  And it cooled down, only 102 degrees at midnight.

Below is the timelapse photographed from 10:17 p.m. till about 4 in the morning. 20 second exposure images, with a 10 second delay between, and about 300 photos!
