Different. Let yourself be open to move, to create, to move away from what you see everyday in family photos. To Laugh, to experience, and to remember that experincce with the photos. I am so lucky to have clients that break away from the mold, who want photos that are not like their friends, thank you for loving the different.
While wearing the exact Kimono she wore for her wedding, Sunai showed up to the set like a boss. Bob also brought his a game in a rented white tux. Bob and Sunai were married 50 years ago, and their daughters wanted to give them a photo gift for their anniversary, and try to recreate images they shot in the studio. We shot some 4×5 film portraits, here are the proof sheets, and printing video.

This is the goal of the family photograph, this image.. Seconds before the little one to the right was posing behind Mom and Dad, then decided we got the shots and off she went. Genius. For Safety we stayed one “Zebra” distance away- brilliant reference for the kiddos. I wore a facial covering the whole time, as the family did walking to the spot and back. Thank you! These girls are so fun. Looking forward to working with you again. […]

Watching the magic appear before your eyes, under a warm red safelight in the darkroom, is something that never gets old. It always curls my toes. “You’re the best Nicole, we absolutely love working with you.” – Nayeli I LOVE a classic portrait in the studio, simple, no props, well one prop, The bubble machine. It seems more fun for the parents than the kiddos, or perhaps I have the most fun, but the point is, it’s fun. I want the experience to be fun, so when you look back on the photos, you remember that time with your family, how FUN it was.
“These photos are absolutely amazing. Everyone who has seen them comments at how perfectly they capture the feel of the evening.
Thank you so much for this beautiful work.” – Lisa
