Vincentia, NSW, AUSTRALIA… American Meets Australian. Back in the day when the internet was a scary place. It was love at first sentence, for these two. After many emails and phone calls later, They met in person for the first time at LAX, and the first date was to Starbucks. Since then Coffee is their priority- when they have a big decision, coffee first, big event- coffee first. The couple chose to get ready together- which is BRILLIANT. It cuts […]
I fell in Love with Australia. I was lucky enough to document a wedding full of love, and able to do a bit of sight seeing too. The Russel Hotel is a small boutique hotel in the historic Rocks located in Circular Quay. There is a small winding hallway, and if you get thirsty, there is a classy pub on the first level. You can see the Opera house, and it’s a nice walk along the waters edge to it. […]

Vincentia NSW, AUSTRALIA… After waiting years, these two were able to legally marry, and celebrated by jumping into the South Pacific Ocean in their wedding dresses immediately after the wedding. Wardrobe change for the reception. The wedding next up on the blog.
First Shot of the day, before the sun came up 6:30 a.m., on our way to trash the dress. More like a celebrate the dress. Put it back on and not worry about getting it sandy, wet, and be free to move on the beach, get your toes sandy, and maybe dip them in the water.
Peter and Patil were married in Pasadena, with reception to follow in Glendale. To transport them to the reception- they hired a classic car- my favorite part of the day. Just me, the chauffeur and the couple, documenting that magical moment of just being married.
me: “How’s Your Ankle?” “Broken, Sprained?!”
Bride: “Oh Yes, i found out today I broke my foot on the dance floor at the reception. Confirmed with X Rays”
me: “You are my hero.”
Bride ” Sacrifices must be made to get the shot!”
They showed up at 6:30 am the next morning, broken foot and all. Matt carried her piggyback down to the beach, and around the beach, then back up the stairs, to their hotel #marriedlife.
From the Designer Libby Martin “The cake and the moon were designed especially for this Shoot. Some of the items are actual pieces from the 20’s and 30’s. The theme is a 1930’s Classic Hollywood Nightclub. It took place in a 100 year old theater and the shoot was designed around the theater’s details. The couple is actually married and were very excited to have a type of second wedding.” Dragonfly Events OC Coordinator/Planner Libby Martin Paper Moon Shoppe […]
