A dressy affair, clean simple black and white backdrops in the studio, focusing just on the couple. Complete with glamour wind, jumps, laughter, and of course, some harsh flash ( my fave). Out of the engagement photo nature , and into some artificial light and air conditioning.

The engagement photo session of Julie and Howard in the Studio. During our initial meeting, I found out that this couple got engaged on New Years Eve. Visions of a confetti storm and the couple in formal attire danced in my head, and here are the images that came about. The three above images shot with the Hassleblad on Kodak film

So excited for the color of forest park in Portland Oregon and to create some romantic portraits in nature, and of course, my favorite images are the ones shot in the hotel room with expired film and a point and shoot camera. Thank you Cayla and Brady for leaving room for the unexpected.

During the wedding consultation, I found out these two professional musicians met in college, in music class, so photographing them in the studio with their instruments it was for the engagement session! Shot using the Hasselblad with both cinestill color and Ilford black and white film. I like to find out about my couples- how they met, what they enjoy in life, to create something that is unique to them.

After meeting at an 80’s party, he was in a Don Johnson Miami Vice shirt, she, a mini skirt and some neon, 80’s theme it was for the engagement session! With a soundtrack of Hungry Eyes, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, and Footloose, to name a few, we had the perfect 80’s vibe in the studio to create some fun non generic engagement photos. Plastic Fantastic: Shooting some cinestill film with a Holga, a plastic camera, was a must, since […]

Jannkia fell in love with 2 wedding dresses, and decided rather than choose between the two, she would get both and wear one for the engagement session! This fit perfectly for a formal photo shoot in the studio. For Jannika and Jason we created a classic and timeless look for their engagement session and included their fur babies who were quite dapper in their tuxes. Jason has quite a sense of humor, so for the second look, he was allowed […]
