This former florist and wedding planner did everything right. The couple got ready together at their suite in Laguna Beach, with their two dogs, and absolutely no stress. If you are a couple, I wish more couples did this.. While she got her hair done, the groom to be finished writing his vows while sipping on espresso looking out onto the pacific ocean. He buttoned up her wedding dress, and she adjusted his bow tie. They drove themselves to the wedding and I hitched a ride in the backseat.
The ceremony was minimalistic, and the bride made her entrance walking down the stairs of the bamboo garden, to a live music gospel choir. Dinner was served buffet style, which I LOVE as it keep people moving talking, and the energy in the space up and lively.
Ken and Simone LOVE Las Vegas, so much so, we shot their engagement photos in Las Vegas. Here we are back for round two, ten years later to celebrate their 10 year anniversary with a trash the dress shoot- Vegas style- Champagne- a Chapel- and the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign.
These photos are spectacular!! We are over the moon excited about these, we just looked through all of them! Thank you so much for your incredible work, you totally captured the experience beautifully! – Sarah & Ben
When Caleb met Ashley, he said “Your like Popcorn” “When I saw you for the first time, time stood still” referencing the Tim Burton Film Bigfish. The wedding at 7 degrees. Second Photographer Kip Roof. To make this Gif, I had the camera set up on the tripod and controlled the shutter via remote.
Thank you, Patil & Peter, for having me cruise with you to the reception in the Rolls Royce. Agreeing to keep the top down without a care in the world, not worried about hair, and just being together, a truly magical moment at sunset on the CA freeway.
In the studio with Angela for her formal bridal portrait, and because she wore two wedding dresses, we photographed her with two different film types: 8 x 10 polaroid and 4×5 black and white. At her wedding, she wore traditional white, and a traditional, Cheongsam with dragon & phoenix design. New 55 film produces both a positive print, and a negative for scanning and printing. We then shot 8 x 10 large format with with this camera:
The wedding of Courtney and Jacob at the Monarch Beach ( formerly St. Regis) Resort.
This was the final shot of the night, which ended up being my favorite of the entire event. I love nostalgia, and this one feels like a 50’s early 60’s photograph. A fun filled moment for the couple, well into their wedding reception.
Erica and Matt were married at the beautiful Casa Romatica, located in San Clemente. Some early morning showers brought some amazing clouds- as October always does. The couple decided to forgo a bridal party ( wise choice) Erica wanted her “bride tribe” to have no obligations, but to come and enjoy the party. AaaaaaMAZING pics! We couldn’t be happier with the way these came out! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! – Erica and Matt Casa Romantica Iva […]
